Construction of a berth and grain terminal on the territory of Volga Port

Work started: 2002; work completed: 2003.

Scope of work in constructing a grain terminal:

  • sinking of 530-mm piles filled with cast-in-place concrete ? 130 piles;
  • construction of a full complex for a grain terminal (including 18-meter silo towers for a grain storage with foreign-made equipment ? two silo towers);
  • construction of a ramp for loading grain onto vessels ? 120 r. m.;
  • installation and assembly of equipment for grain transshipment from the railway transport onto the vessels ? 1 complex;

  • construction of a 2-story administrative complex (AHF brick building);
  • performance of service lines for water supply networks, drainage, sewage treatment, power supply, and communication.
  • The Scope of work for berth construction:

    • dredging of the river floor along the berth wall ? 1420 m3;
    • installation of solid ferroconcrete cross beams ? 620 m3;
    • installation of solid ferroconcrete anchor slabs ? 1800 m3;
    • installation of anchor ties ? 30 tons;
    • sand backfilling of cavities behind the berth wall ? 2400 m3.
