The overpass is built as part of reconstruction of an eight-kilometer stretch of road that starts from Gaidara Street, continues along Chelnokova Street, Soglasiya Street, and Sovetsky Prospekt, and terminates beyond Kaliningrad Northern Bypass. Overpass design: 15 m + 24 m + 15 m. The builders have already installed two pillars out of four.

During the overpass design, it was decided to use girder spans of prefabricated reinforced concrete. This will allow the most labor consuming operations to be carried out at the factory, thereby reducing the scope of work and work time on the construction site.

The builders of LLC SPETSMOST emphasize that the main challenge during preparation for bridge construction were problems related to relocation of the utility lines. The bridge builders are ready to complete the construction ahead of schedule, but the traffic will be opened only after commissioning of the entire interchange, which is scheduled for October 2014.
