The construction of the port is carried out in difficult climatic conditions, there is no transport infrastructure on the coast. The navigation period, which allows for dredging and heavy cargo delivery by water, is very short: this year the navigation lasted from July to October.
During the navigation of 2015, the port of Sabetta dredged the water area of the u-turn circle and supply berths. Dredging works were performed on the construction of a channel 50 km long, 205 m wide and 15.1 m deep.
JSC “USK most” appointed by the government of the Russian Federation only by the construction in 2014-2019 years the main objects of seaport Sabetta in the North-West leotadimage chambers (root and deepwater), South East leotadimage structure (deep) and areas of automated radio technical post of the traffic management system of the courts No. 1-3. Subcontracting works are performed by LLC “Mordraga”.
The Arctic port of sabetta is being built near the village of The same name on the Western Bank of the Ob Bay in the Yamal district of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district of the Tyumen region. The new port on Yamal will provide year – round navigation along the Northern sea route and will become a key element of the transport infrastructure of the Northern latitudinal course project, which is based on the launch of a natural gas liquefaction plant based on the Yuzhno-Tambeyskoye field.
