Specialists of the SK Most group of companies made laying of inventory rails on the bridge over the Don river on the 280-m km of the Morozovskaya – Volgograd section of the Volga railway.
Currently, work is underway on the construction of the upper structure of the path on the bridge and approaches to it.
Laying of inventory (old-year) rails with a length of 12.5 meters on BMP plates is almost finished.
In the future, instead of temporary rails, the track will be laid on new 25-meter rails welded in “lashes”. The length of one whip is 750-800 meters. The whip will be brought by special pletevozy for laying them on the bridge and approaches to it. The total length of the newly laid path on the object will be about 4 km.
Starting from the beginning of February, on the right-Bank approach to the bridge over the don river, SK Most group of companies will start filling out the underlying layers and laying the elements of the rail grid.
On the left side of the Don river, work is underway to form an embankment of the roadbed and strengthen it with rubble.
In parallel with the work on the bridge, the following types of work are continuing:
- reconstruction of vohr buildings and structures;
- construction of power supply and lighting networks on the territory of vohr.
The new bridge over the don river will allow freight trains weighing up to 12 thousand tons to pass at a speed of up to 90 km/h.
The start of traffic on the bridge is planned for 2020.
After the opening of traffic on the new bridge over the don river, the old one will be dismantled.
