The steel structures of the welding jig for the reinforcement cage installation have been already set up. Reinforcement work is in progress. Further, the builders will proceed to the erection of the reinforced concrete bridge blocks, followed by filling the pier’s body with monolithic concrete. The pier will be over seven meters high.
“We have started the construction of the pier’s body No.23. We stick to the schedule, without any breaks. So far, at the construction sites of the new Zeya Bridge, pile caps of three piers have been already built, more than 55 bored piles have been installed,”said Eduard Davydov, Director of the Construction Directorate of USK MOST JSC.
26 piers and a cable-stayed structure will serve as a basis for the new road bridge. The total length of the facility is 9 km, of which 2 km is the bridge, 7 km are approach roads.
Car traffic on the bridge will be arranged in one lane in each direction. According to preliminary estimates, project implementation will decrease the traffic load on the existing bridge by 40-60%, which will allow the residents of the Amur Region to drive between the city and the federal highway with great comfort.
