The builders of the new Zeya Bridge successfully got through the ice drift period

The specialists of USK MOST JSC, which is a part of SK MOST Group of Companies, successfully prepared and let the drifting ice pass along the Zeya River without creating a bottleneck. The work on the construction of the new Zeya Bridge during the period between the two seasons was taken into account at the design stage of the structure.

“We have successfully got through the ice drift period. Preparation for it was carried out for several months – ice protection barriers were installed on the right bank in the area of ​​support No. 7, part of the service bridge was dismantled. Further work on the piers located at the river channel will be carried out from floating crafts,”

said the project supervisor and the head of the branch office of JSC USK MOST Eduard Davydov.

On the left bank, the builders completed the installation of bored piles for supports Nos. 10-14 and dismantled the service road towards them according to the schedule. Also, specialists have strengthened the slopes of the service road to support No. 15.

The builders of USK MOST JSC are erecting the new Zeya Bridge simultaneously from both banks. The new road bridge will be based on 26 supports and have a cable-stayed structure. The total length of the facility will be 9 km, of which 2 km will be the bridge part, 7 km will be approaches.
